Project

At the heart of the Monte Vista Elementary campus, the existing site was demolished to make way for a new, state-of-the-art, two-story classroom building. This modern structure, designed with a mix of masonry, steel, steel framing, wood trusses, and wood framing, is on track to achieve LEED Gold certification, exceeding its original LEED Silver target.

The new building houses four kindergarten classrooms, eight single restrooms, two restrooms, an art room with a kiln, a music room with a balcony, and a fully equipped learning kitchen. Accessibility is a priority, with an elevator creating ease of movement throughout the space.

Beyond the building itself, the project includes extensive site improvements. Students benefit from newly developed outdoor spaces, while practical enhancements such as a dumpster enclosure and a redesigned parking lot improve functionality. Additionally, the historic school’s administrative area and teachers’ lounge undergo a complete renovation, blending the old with the new to create a cohesive and revitalized campus environment.
